Dear Father, I must make a confession. I have lusted...after the Apple iPad.

As an admittedly late "newcomer" to the wondrous world of Apple, I have fallen in lust with their newest gadget must-have.  Already a possessor of the iPod Mini, the iPhone, the iMac, and the super-fabulous MacBook (from whence I'm typing), I saw the ad for the iPad and it was lust at first sight. Besides the fact that it's an Apple product, thereby guaranteeing it a gorgeous design and incredible touch interface, it's so neat! I mean, I know it can't place a phone call (hello - Apple did give us the fantastic iPhone 3G for that!), but what can't it do?  It plays music, games, movies, TV shows, other videos, organizes photos, accesses the web so you can do an and all internet surfing, and it handles apps from the App Store. On top of that Apple created an entirely new store just for it: iBook.  It's an electronic book store - also known as heaven. I love to read and I love Apple products, therefore a lovechild has been born: iBook!  And iPad is the best method to get me there to squeeze its chubby little cheeks!

"My very first blog post" or "who am I and why you should read my blog"

Okay, I'm in some uncharted waters here.  My first ever blog posting!  :)  So, here's a little info about me, in very short concise sentences:

I'm a redhead, hence the super fabulous URL.
I have a degree in English.
I'm married to the most wonderful man in the world (sorry ladies!).
I work in the food safety department at Chick-fil-A.
As a result of my job, I now walk into restaurants and immediately look for their health score.
My husband and I have three cats: Penelope, Kinetic, and The Doctor.
Yes, that's The Doctor as in Doctor Who (it's British).
I admit to watching bad reality TV.
I also confess to reading semi-trashy magazines (like Us Weekly, Ok!, In Touch, etc.).
I love to read books (hooray for fiction!).
I love to play a sport called Wally Ball.
I sing in my car (please don't stare, that makes me self-conscious).
I believe that if Robert Pattinson hadn't been cast in the role of Edward Cullen, no girl would care about him.
I detest the Droid commercials; I think Verizon has iPhone envy of AT&T.
I have a Twitter account, but I don't really see the point.
Doesn't Facebook do the same thing AND more?
I do enjoy several TV shows, most notably Bones, The Big Bang Theory, and The Office.
In short, I have an opinion on just about everything and I can't wait to share them with the world (okay, the small crew who'll stumble across this blog).

Without wax,

The Ravishing Redhead
